NO and NO AGAIN It is rated for a certain wattage because that is the highest wattage that is SAFE.
You of course could put a higher wattage bulb in BUT then it will cause the transformer to either overheat or burn out. Overheated transformers CAN (not always but often enough) and DO cause fires that burn down houses.
What you might look into is getting a higher rated transformer, then you might be able to increase the wattage. However make sure the light sockets are also rated to take a higher wattage bulb.
You need to look at the rating of the power supply to see your total load doesn’t exceed it.
Be very careful. I saw one place where someone had put in bigger bulbs and the power supply was burnt bad. It must have been pure luck it didn’t set fire to the wooden stud it was lay on.
You say you have “spots”. If you are refering to the bulb itself try and put in floods in their place. Same wattage of course, but if you had spots and replaced them with floods it will give the appearance of more light due to the wider beam spread.
the transformer will burn out if it is overloaded.
Look at the transformer; it should have a VA figure on it.
a 100VA transformer can safely supply 100W of bulb. You do the sums. larger capacity transformers are also available,
